Boiler Upgrade Scheme

Claim £7500 towards the cost of an air source heat pump installation

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant supports the decarbonisation of heat in residential properties by providing £7500 towards the cost of replacing a fossil fuel boiler, such as oil or gas with a renewable heating system.

It is available to all homeowners in England and Wales and air source heat pump installations are eligible. As MCS registered installers, we claim the grant on your behalf and handle all the paperwork, discounting your installation cost so you only pay the difference.

The Benefits of Air Source Heat Pumps

Cost Saving & Effective

Your energy expenditures may be significantly reduced by using an air source heat pump to heat your home. Compared to conventional heating systems like gas, oil or LPG, they produce more energy than they use to operate. Installing an air source heat pump currently attracts a government grant to make it even more affordable.

Environmentally Friendly

Air source heat pumps help create a better environment by utilising renewable energy from the air. They generate fewer carbon emissions than traditional heating systems, allowing you to reduce your carbon footprint and contribute to the fight against climate change. Utilising renewable electricity sources further reduces your carbon footprint.

Heating & Cooling

Air source heat pumps are capable of both heating and cooling. They can reverse their cycle in the summer to give your house effective air conditioning. The need for separate heating and cooling systems is eliminated by this dual capability, which reduces the energy use in your home.

Longevity & Health

These systems are renowned for their longevity and minimal upkeep. Your air source heat pump may typically operate at peak performance for years with just routine inspections and servicing. They have less parts in comparison to gas boilers and so there is a lower chance of something going wrong. An air source heat pump will last around 25 years if looked after properly.

Why Install Heat Pumps in Gainsborough?

Gainsborough is a historic market town in Lincolnshire, England, situated on the River Trent, known for its medieval heritage, industrial past, and Gainsborough Old Hall, one of the best-preserved manor houses in the country.

History and Industry:

Gainsborough’s history dates back to Roman times, but it grew significantly during the medieval period as a key trading and market town thanks to its strategic position on the River Trent. The town is famed for Gainsborough Old Hall, a well-preserved 15th-century manor that reflects its medieval prominence. Gainsborough later developed a strong industrial base during the 18th and 19th centuries, centered on coal mining, engineering, and manufacturing, boosted by the arrival of the canal and railway networks. Shipbuilding and port activities also played important roles due to its riverside location. While traditional industries have declined, Gainsborough has diversified its economy in recent decades, balancing heritage with new business and residential developments.

Modern-Day Gainsborough:

Modern-day Gainsborough is a lively market town that blends its rich historical heritage with ongoing regeneration and development efforts. While it retains a strong sense of community and pride in landmarks like Gainsborough Old Hall, the town is working to diversify its economy beyond its industrial roots, focusing on retail, services, and light manufacturing. Improved transport links, including road and rail connections, support commuting to nearby cities like Lincoln and Sheffield. Gainsborough also offers a range of amenities, schools, and green spaces, making it an attractive place for families and professionals.
